Assist underwriters with reviewing and evaluating workers compensation insurance applications to determine acceptance or denial of risks to promote company profitability
Communicate with agents, brokers and policyholders to provide service and solutions to their underwriting and policy inquiries
Work closely with supervisor and trainers on assignments, and manage competing priorities to be accountable for delivering results
Demonstrate ownership of assignments to complete them within expected timelines, and communicate any issues preventing completion with your team lead
Participate in team or individual projects and seek cross-functional learning opportunities
Complete technical underwriting training to gain authority and other responsibilities
Use data analysis to identify opportunities for efficiencies in process and product
Interface with customers via phone, instant messaging, or email
