About the role
- Communicate and manage project vision with project leadership team to ensure understanding of project plan and scope
- Define deliverables, scope of work, and develop detailed project schedules
- Build highly effective project teams and establish relationships with impacted departments and functional areas
- Communicate expectations, instill accountability, resolve conflicts, promote work sharing, and motivate teams
- Apply project management principles including project financial management, scope and schedule management, risk and opportunity management, critical problem solving, variance and root cause analysis
- Summarize and present key information to senior leadership to enable decision making
- Manage multiple projects, tasks, and resources through organization, prioritization, and time management
- Participate in continuous process improvement and lean initiatives
- Provide leadership to projects including third-party solutions implementation, application development, and infrastructure optimization
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree and minimum 5 years of experience
- Must be willing and able to travel 25% of the time
- Experience with project management oversight of IT application projects
- Experience building and managing project schedules
- Experience managing project financials and forecasting resource demand
- Program Management skills to provide direction and leadership to Project Managers who do not report to you directly
- Experience with multiple project methodologies including waterfall and agile Scrum (preferred)
- SAP / ERP Experience (preferred)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred)
- Security Clearance: None/Not Required
