About the role
- Serve as the onsite MRO Engineer (MRO-E) engineering liaison representing Pratt & Whitney at the US Air Force Depot at Tinker AFB
- Support Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) activities for Mechanical Systems and Externals hardware across F135, F119, F100, TF33, and J52 programs
- Be an active member of the Engine Life Management Team (ELMT), including trending updates and technical changes
- Support Lead the Fleet ACIs and DEEP activities to improve military engine maintenance
- Review and disposition MRB hardware and support Component Improvement Program (CIP) tasks
- Act as the onsite representative for engine/hardware investigations
- Assist Customer Support Engineering (CSE) and base personnel with field support and quality issues
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and military customer teams (CIPT, SIPT, IPMT)
- Travel up to 10% for domestic and international tasks
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship required (only U.S. citizens authorized to access information under this program/contract)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering preferred
- Theoretical knowledge of engine hardware
- Basic knowledge of engineering analytical tools and documentation sources
- Previous hardware experience with Externals or Mechanical Components products is a plus
- Ability to operate across a wide range of disciplines
- Procedural knowledge associated with the aftermarket sustainment and overhaul of military engines (preferred/learned)
- Travel up to 10% (domestic and international)
- Onsite work at Tinker Air Force Base (ability to be onsite)
