About the role
- Join the Mechanical Systems, External, Nacelles (MSEN) Design Engineering team onsite in Oklahoma City
- Provide supportability design improvements and design disposition of engine depot disassembly and rebuild issues and unplanned limits
- Get hands-on experience with hardware; learn part disassembly/reassembly and inspection techniques and fixtures
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop solutions to problems slowing the rebuild process
- Participate in Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPTs) resolving high priority engine teardown and rebuild challenges at Tinker AFB
- Provide onsite design engineering support and perform design evaluations using PW Engineering Standard Work (ESW)
- Work with cross-functional teams (MROe, Structures, etc.) to implement product improvements and limits expansion design changes
- Serve as design representative on multi-discipline teams balancing durability, performance, cost, and weight
- Advance technology and improve engineering standard work processes/methods
- Document design solutions and present conclusions to PW management and external customers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- U.S. citizenship is required (only U.S. citizens authorized to access information under this program/contract)
- Security Clearance: None/Not Required
- Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil Engineering degree strongly preferred
- Aerospace or Turbofan Engine industry experience highly preferred
- Experience in Product Life Cycle Management tool Teamcenter or similar
- Experience in design using Siemens NX or other 3D CAD software
- Strong communication and task coordination skills
- Travel less than 10%
