About the role
- Enhance electrical engineering skills working with digital, analog and/or RF hardware testing and debugging complex circuit card assemblies or electro-mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot and test CCAs and electronic subsystems; perform hands-on debugging and root-cause analysis
- Collaborate and coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to achieve/document concurrence and resolve production, testing, and integration issues
- Provide technical oversight and direction, cost estimation, tracking & reporting, coordination, preparation of detailed technical team reports, and proposal support
- Support development and sustainment activities of Land and Naval based electrical products and manage program execution including cost, schedule and technical oversight throughout product lifecycle
- Support test equipment, test automation scripting, test conduction, sensor control, and PCB/CCA fabrication processes
- Participate in Root-Cause Corrective Action investigations and implement Engineering Change Notices
- Achieve RTX Core Certification and receive Raytheon Responsible Engineer Authority (REA) Training
- Work primarily onsite in production; travel less than 10% annually
Requirements
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum 8 years of prior Engineering experience
- Minimum 8 years of relevant professional work experience with RF, analog, digital, and/or mixed signal circuit design or analysis and/or digital signal processing
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship required (only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance)
- Security Clearance: DoD Clearance: Secret
- Prior hands-on troubleshooting experience is preferred
- Experience with circuit card assemblies (CCA), EO, RF, Seeker/Sensor, electronic subsystems, circuit design, CCA assembly, electrical test and production/supplier support
- Experience with test equipment, test automation scripting, test conduction, sensor control, PCB fabrication, and CCA processes
- Familiarity with Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, IDL, CST, Microwave Design Studio, HFSS, ADS, signal generator, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer
- Familiarity with missile communication transceivers and data links, inertial measurement units (IMU), and GPS receiver subsystems
- Experience with subsystems integration and test, post test flight analysis, problem investigation, Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods
- Technical writing, formal presentation, and implementing Engineering Change Notices experience
- Self-starter capable of working independently and with a small technical team
- Ability to provide technical oversight and direction, cost estimation, tracking & reporting, coordination, and proposal support
- Travel Requirements: less than 10% annually
