About the role
- Process payment of, and accounting for, benefit claims, expenses, and other financial transactions with third-party vendors and internal contacts
- Assist in preparation of financial forecasts of Company benefit costs
- Assist in preparation of the Company’s and the benefit plans’ financial statement disclosures, annual filings, and submissions to the US government
- Assist in execution of the Company’s financial control activities, which may include account and banking reconciliations
- Participate in audit support activities, including reviewing vendor SOC1 reports, preparing reconciliations of financial activity with third parties, and providing auditors with information required to test applicable controls and transactions
- Participate in ad hoc special projects, including variance analysis and process improvement initiatives
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel including formulas and functions
- Robust organizational skills and excellent attention to detail (preferred)
- Ability to prioritize tasks with varying schedules to meet deadlines (preferred)
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment (preferred)
- Ability to help identify and execute process improvements (preferred)
- Interest in critical thinking and complex problem solving (preferred)
- Interest in learning and becoming a subject matter expert (preferred)
