About the role
- Responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within a commodity
- Directs and manages all schedules, and purchase orders for the client account or the product family
- Ensures product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost
- May perform delivery assurance responsibilities
- Carries out Procurement processes, standards, and operational plans
- Responds to value stream inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations
- Carries out activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services
- Prepares purchase orders
- Compiles price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information
- Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and develops and maintains good vendor relationships
- Attend and participate in group meetings, teleconferences and/or training
- Actively participate in initiatives for continuous improvement using ACE tools and support AS9100 efforts
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree
- 2 years of experience in Supply Chain, M aterials Management, or Business Administration
- English (read, write, speak) is required
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Must reside in Puerto Rico
- Availability to travel up to 10% domestically
- Obtain ACE Associate certification
- 1 year of SAP experience (preferred)
- 1 year of Microsoft Office experience (preferred)
