About the role
- Are you ready to explore the world of aerospace and defense? Learn from and collaborate with some of the greatest minds in the industry. Join the mechanical engineering design team within Mission Systems C4IA Products Engineering. Expand knowledge and skills of mechanical packaging of electronics design for ground, shipboard and airborne applications. Support factory, field, and customer related issues and prototype build, verification, and testing. Perform enclosure structural design with thermal, vibration, and environmental considerations. Support circuit card layout and perform tolerance analysis. Produce detailed technical documentation and follow design/safety/qualification standards.
Requirements
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required Mechanical Engineer Degree preferred. Experience with Unigraphics NX or similar CAD tools Exposure to and/or working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) Experience with mechanical fabrication methods Ability to utilize engineering drawings and follow written/verbal instructions
