About the role
- Drive growth across Florida by managing sales and distributor relationships
- Lead a team of 3–4 Market Sales Managers across the state
- Manage on- and off-premise channels to deliver volume, visibility, and value
- Collaborate with Regional Sales Manager to define and execute annual sales strategy
- Oversee full brand portfolio and ensure executional excellence by SKU
- Drive volume, pricing, merchandising, and promotional performance across key accounts
- Build strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key customers
- Plan and execute pricing strategies, programming, and promotional activities
- Ensure visibility through POS, displays, menus, and consumer activations
- Personally lead and support high-impact key account calls
- Identify market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities for growth
- Regularly travel throughout the territory to oversee execution and mentor team members
- Participate in wholesaler meetings, sales planning, and brand strategy sessions
- Maintain tight control of budgets, expenses, and commercial ROI
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the alcoholic beverages sector
- Experience working for both suppliers and distributors
- Demonstrated success managing a state or regional sales territory
- Proven track record managing and developing sales teams (3–4 direct reports)
- Strong network of industry relationships across Florida
- Strong commercial capabilities (volume, pricing, distribution, promotional execution)
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills
- Entrepreneurial, self-starting mindset
- Skilled in working with distributors, key accounts, and internal stakeholders
- Technically proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver’s licence
- Willing to travel 4–5 days per week throughout Florida
- Experience activating premium spirits and wine brands in on- and off-premise channels (Preferred)
- Familiarity with field marketing, menu placement, and POS deployment (Preferred)
- Must be based in Southern Florida
