Develop and execute a bold growth strategy across membership, marketing, and grant funding
Serve on the Executive Team to shape overall organisational strategy, culture, and sustainability
Lead communications for internal and external stakeholders, providing updates on progress and future plans
Conduct quarterly training sessions to enhance managers’ skills and hold weekly meetings with Growth Team leaders
Set strategic priorities across the full funnel: newsletter growth, membership acquisition, engagement, and retention
Utilise behavioural science insights to enhance conversion and loyalty; oversee impact communications for members, subscribers, partners, and grant funders
Collaborate with journalists to craft and review acquisition and marketing copy
Forge high-impact partnerships with grant funders, high-net-worth individuals, and sponsors; secure funding and manage reporting
Identify and incubate new products and revenue opportunities, balancing commercial, editorial, and public interest goals
Represent the organisation at conferences, events, and high-level meetings
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing, business administration, or communications
Significant experience in a senior leadership role, particularly in growth-focused positions
Background in start-ups or management consulting, with a focus on growth strategies
Exceptional communication skills
Financial acumen: experience overseeing budgets and reporting for multiple revenue streams
In-depth understanding of membership/subscription and other revenue models
Experience leading teams, serving on executive leadership, and managing stakeholder communications
Experience with product incubation and developing new revenue opportunities
