About the role
- Help patients check into the hospital and complete registration
- Work on computers and answer phones to intake patient and insurance information
- Enter data across multiple screens and programs accurately and quickly
- Work around clinicians interrupting the registration process for emergent clinical care
- Ask follow-up questions, build rapport, and provide compassionate support to patients
- Assist patients while often on your feet in a fast-paced environment
- Receive training on health plan variations and registration processes
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent customer service experience
- Confident multi-tasker who is a quick study with technology
- Ability to type quickly and answer phones
- Comfortable seeing illness and injuries in a hospital/lab environment
- Must be up to date on all vaccinations
- Must pass a drug test prior to hire
- Must pass a background check prior to hire
- Willingness to work scheduled shift hours (3:00pm-11:30pm) and assigned rotating days
