About the role
- Help patients check into the hospital and answer questions during registration
- Collect information accurately and quickly across multiple screens and systems
- Type and answer phones while multitasking and working around clinicians interrupting registration
- Listen with compassion, ask follow-up questions, and build rapport to ease patient anxiety
- Assist patients to complete registration, including collecting patient and insurance information
- Work in a fast-paced, often on-your-feet environment and collaborate with team members
- Participate in training and career development opportunities
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent customer service experience
- Must be up to date on all vaccinations
- Must pass a drug test prior to hire
- Must pass a background check prior to hire
- Confident multi-tasker
- Quick study with technology; able to type and answer phones
- Comfortable working around illness and injuries in a hospital/lab environment
- Ability to work the listed part-time shift hours
- No previous healthcare experience required
