About the role
- Help patients check into the hospital and answer questions during registration
- Collect patient and insurance information accurately and quickly across multiple screens
- Work on computers and answer phones to intake information in a busy environment
- Build rapport and listen with compassion to address patient fears, concerns, and questions
- Work in a fast-paced environment, often on your feet and with clinicians interrupting the registration process for emergent care
- Assist patients to complete their registration and handle variation in health plans
- Entry-level role with training provided; a starting point for a healthcare career
- Shift Hours: Thursday & Sunday 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM at Intermountain Primary Children's - Lehi
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent customer service experience
- Confident multi-tasker who is a quick study with technology and can type and answer phones
- Comfortable working across multiple programs and typing as quickly as patients can talk
- Must be prepared to see illness and injuries (hospital/lab environment)
- Must be up to date on all vaccinations
- Must pass a drug test prior to hire
- Must pass a background check prior to hire
- Shift: Thursday & Sunday 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM
