About the role
- Help our patients check into the hospital and answer questions during registration
- Collect information accurately and quickly while listening with compassion to address fears, concerns, and questions
- Work on computers and answer phones to intake information in a busy environment
- Work across multiple screens and programs, inputting details correctly between physician and nurse check-ins
- Work around clinicians interrupting the registration process for emergent clinical care
- Ask follow-up questions and build rapport in real time to ease patient anxiety
- Fast-paced work environment, often on your feet assisting patients to complete their registration
- Collect patient and insurance information; learn health plan variations through training
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent customer service experience
- You must also be up to date on all vaccinations
- Pass a drug test prior to hire
- Pass a background check prior to hire
- Be a confident multi-tasker who is a quick study with technology and can type and answer phones
- Comfortable seeing illness and injuries in a hospital/lab environment
- Ability to work the listed overnight shift schedule (11pm–7am) including weekends and 2-3 holidays a year
