About the role
- Perform front office clerical and support tasks within primary care and specialty departments
- Manage patient referrals
- Patient registration (where applicable)
- Patient scheduling and coordination of multiple same-day appointments with different disciplines
- Scanning and maintaining records
- Provide customer service: answer phones and greet visitors
- Order and maintain office supplies and provide back-up support services
- Collect co-payments
- Arrange for interpreter services when needed
- Perform other clinic-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1 year Medical/healthcare setting; or
- 2 years Customer service role
- 6 months Recent receptionist or front desk experience
- 3 months Related experience (recurring appointments) (preferred)
- Experience with medical terminology and basic medical record processes (preferred)
