About the role
- Develop and execute investor relations strategy aligned with the company’s corporate goals and enhancing its reputation within the financial community.
- Craft and maintain a compelling and consistent investment narrative; serve as a key contributor to the company’s external messaging.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for the investment community, fostering strong relationships with current and potential investors.
- Plan, coordinate, and participate in investor outreach, meetings, diligence responses and other investor activities.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis, competitive intelligence, and landscape assessments to identify key industry trends, risks, and opportunities in the BCI and neurotechnology sectors.
- Identify and evaluate new growth opportunities, including potential M&A, strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and new market entry.
- Develop comprehensive business cases and financial models for strategic initiatives to support executive and board-level decision-making.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in a combination of corporate strategy, investor relations, investment banking, equity research, or management consulting.
- Direct experience in the biotechnology, medical device, or life sciences industry is essential. Familiarity with neurotechnology is a significant plus.
- Exceptional financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills, with a deep understanding of financial statements and capital markets.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to distill complex scientific and financial information into clear, concise, and compelling messages for diverse audiences.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with senior leadership.
- Strategic and critical thinker with a high degree of business acumen and the ability to operate at both the strategic and tactical levels.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and mission-driven startup environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Life Sciences, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced degree (PhD, MD) is strongly preferred.
