About the role
- Oversee a team of outside sales representatives selling outdoor living products and services through distribution network
- Lead, mentor, and manage sales team and establish sales targets, track progress, and provide feedback
- Develop and execute action plans with Division General Manager and Regional Manager to achieve sales results
- Collaborate with Pricing Team and Division Leadership on local pricing strategies
- Conduct field visits, ride-alongs, performance reviews; provide ongoing sales training and professional development
- Analyze sales data, team activity, and market trends to identify opportunities and optimize territory coverage
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key accounts to drive growth and retention
- Lead product launches, marketing initiatives, Early Buy programs, Pool360 digital offerings; ensure team and customer engagement
- Recruit, onboard new team members; prepare and present sales performance reports to senior management
- Ensure CRM records are maintained; collect and report customer and field feedback; resolve customer and team issues
- Represent company at trade shows and industry events
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years’ outside sales experience in distribution sales, or related industries
- 2+ years of sales team management experience
- Ample knowledge of product lines: pool related equipment, plumbing supplies, tile, decking, exterior lighting, patio furniture, construction materials, building supplies, chemicals, landscaping/irrigation supplies, HVAC supplies or similar tangible goods
- Experience with Digital sales tools and driving adoption
- Ability to analyze and translate field/customer feedback into actionable strategies
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational, coaching, and motivational abilities
- Comfortable traveling regionally as required
- Proficiency in CRM and sales reporting tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft CE or other CRM and the entire Microsoft Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
- Familiarity with Prelude or similar inventory management software is preferred
- A valid driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record (no more than 2 violations within 3 years)
