About the role

  • Supervises and directs maintenance personnel during a specific shift in installation, repair, and maintenance of all base building and critical systems machinery and equipment
  • Responsible for supervising and leading your shifts operating team onsite, including administrative functions like work order assignment, payroll, and other functions as requested by the Operations Manager
  • Assumes the Operations Manager responsibilities when the Manager is not onsite
  • Performs and/or directs the performance of all maintenance departmental service requests, ensuring efficient work with minimal disruption
  • Ensures accuracy of work order assignment in Corrigo and technicians' timely work order completion relative to expected SLAs
  • Monitors and validates employees payroll via applicable payroll system
  • Assists Procurement Specialist as needed with purchase order requests, maintaining operating inventory of tools and supplies
  • Supervises and implements the preventative maintenance program and schedules PMs
  • Complies with departmental policy for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials
  • Provides training and supervision to expand capabilities of operations staff
  • Possess hands-on skills to complete required repairs and maintenance on commercial building systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Vertical Transportation, Life Safety, Roofs, Structure, Parking Lots and Roads)
  • Build relationships between the client and the JLL team and provide communication in emergent situations

Requirements

  • 2+ years of trade schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC
  • 5+ years of experience in facility/plant engineering maintenance
  • 5+ years of experience in supervision/leadership roles
  • Exposure to HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid filtering, mechanical systems, welding and electrical systems engineering and operation
  • Ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required
  • Ability to effectively use computers and computer programs; including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Skill in use of the Internet to navigate to and use web-based applications
  • Possess excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • Preferred Stationary Engineer License and/or Universal EPA 608 Certification
