Provide business valuation for leveraged lending borrowers, using multiple data points and valuation methodologies
Conduct research for multiple industries (including economic and market trends) for private and public companies and compare subject companies to peers
Research current and trough level market and transaction comps pertinent to the underlying industry/business
Synthesize all available data, reconcile conclusions, and produce valuation analyses under both base and stressed case scenarios
Analyze and evaluate base and stressed case free cash flow projections for use in discounted cash flow analysis; discuss assumptions with underwriting as needed
Assist in written analysis of assumptions, conclusions and other information supporting enterprise valuation conclusions
Produce a memorandum detailing calculations, assumptions, reasoning, and valuation conclusions
Respond to challenges and questions from underwriters and other lines of defense regarding valuation reasonableness
Participate in the development of systems and reporting for use by various units and senior management; work under limited supervision or independently
Requirements
Ideally a minimum of 2 years professional experience with a background in corporate financial analysis (analyzing financial statements and understanding corporate cash flows)
Relevant experience can include Corporate/C&IB underwriting and/or Credit Products Group
Preparing and writing credit proposals and supporting documentation; presenting proposals; communicating findings
Significant accounting experience and/or CPA may be considered
