About the role

  • Manage day-to-day activities and strategic support of all aspects of personnel management for a department or major business unit
  • Lead department in establishing goals and objectives aligned with business direction
  • Advise managers on HR matters and monitor career management and employee relations
  • Work with senior staff to set priorities and direction of HR initiatives
  • Ensure effective communication among location personnel, management and corporate office to facilitate HR program execution
  • Position based in Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH; primarily based in a PNC location with responsibilities requiring time in office or field regularly
  • Some responsibilities may be performed remotely at manager’s discretion

Requirements

  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities appropriate for a Senior HR Business Partner
  • Advising managers on HR, career management programs, and employee relations counseling
  • Strategic HR leadership and stakeholder management
  • Preferred skills: Business Decisions, Decision Making, Employee Coaching, HR Programs, Human Resource Management, Personal Initiative, Stakeholder Management, Strategic Human Resources Leadership, Strategic Objectives
  • Competencies: Business Acumen, Compensation Management, HR Planning And Development, Human Resources Consulting, Human Resources Policies, Strategies And Environment, Influencing, Partnering for Clients' Success, Staffing And Recruiting
  • Industry relevant experience typically 8+ years
  • Roles at this level typically require a university/college degree; higher education such as Masters, PhD, or certifications desirable
