About the role

  • identify and secure revenue in support of Plexus growth goals
  • own developing devising plans which sell solutions
  • meet business development revenue goals for sector or regional accounts
  • utilize professional sales techniques (strategic selling)
  • engage and support with Plexus cross-functional teams
  • advocate for capability requirements necessary to meet evolving needs of customers
  • find customers by identifying and validating profitable business opportunities
  • prospect, cold call onto select targets
  • maintain a working knowledge of current and potential customers
  • work with market sector team to identify risks and opportunities
  • build and develop multi-level relationships with external customers
  • partner with other key Plexus functions to further customer relationships
  • develop market sector knowledge to inform Plexus business development efforts
  • stay current with market sector trends
  • engage with a cross-functional team to translate customer needs into solutions

Requirements

  • 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or equivalent experience
  • proactive problem solving skills
  • ability to influence others
  • conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • self-motivated with the ability to follow through on assignments with little to no supervision
