About the role
- identify and secure revenue in support of Plexus growth goals
- own developing devising plans which sell solutions
- meet business development revenue goals for sector or regional accounts
- utilize professional sales techniques (strategic selling)
- engage and support with Plexus cross-functional teams
- advocate for capability requirements necessary to meet evolving needs of customers
- find customers by identifying and validating profitable business opportunities
- prospect, cold call onto select targets
- maintain a working knowledge of current and potential customers
- work with market sector team to identify risks and opportunities
- build and develop multi-level relationships with external customers
- partner with other key Plexus functions to further customer relationships
- develop market sector knowledge to inform Plexus business development efforts
- stay current with market sector trends
- engage with a cross-functional team to translate customer needs into solutions
Requirements
- 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or equivalent experience
