About the role

  • Lead the development and execution of the Value & Evidence Strategy (VES) to support the value of hematology assets in the Oncology Division
  • Lead the design and execution of global HEOR studies with emphasis on real-world data studies and post-hoc trial analyses from concept through publication
  • Lead timely development of reimbursement deliverables to support reimbursement and access requirements in conjunction with regions/countries
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate customer facing dissemination of HEOR materials per regulatory guidance and internal SOPs
  • Develop strategic partnerships and research collaborations with external experts, healthcare policy makers, payers, and academic and community oncology settings
  • Provide strategic input into clinical trial designs (patient populations, comparators, endpoints) and analysis to enable negotiations, reimbursement, and patient access with global payer and regulatory decision makers
  • Develop and execute the clinical outcomes assessment strategy and incorporate humanistic and economic endpoints into clinical trials across all phases
  • Manage health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) to generate data to support patient access to hematology medicines
  • Provide direct oversight of evidence generation activities and dissemination of technical deliverables
  • Work closely with the Global Access & Value (GAV) team, cross-functional, and country teams to drive evidence generation and access outcomes

Requirements

  • Graduate degree required (e.g. MSc, MPH, PhD)
  • 7+ years of experience with MSc/MPH/MBA degree; 5+ years with PharmD/PhD in HEOR or relevant related fields
  • Experience in HEOR or relevant related fields (health economics, epidemiology, health services research, or other research-focused public health field)
  • Demonstrated in depth understanding of health services research methods and tools including health economic modeling, patient-reported outcomes, statistics, and real-world evidence studies
  • Technical and methodological knowledge of registries and observational study design, implementation, analysis and interpretation
  • Capable of independently managing complex non-interventional study projects
  • Knowledge and understanding of drug development process
  • Strong project management abilities (contracting, budgeting, vendor management)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects involving complex processes, significant budget, competing deadlines and rapidly shifting priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to assess anticipated value for projects/programs and prioritize accordingly
  • Execution mindset focused on getting things done quickly and simply
  • Organized and detail oriented with ability to anticipate needs and work proactively
  • Change oriented and comfortable responding to unexpected demands with tight timelines
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Ability to work in all US time zones
  • This position requires permanent work authorization in the United States
  • Preferred: Knowledge and experience in the oncology therapeutic area and hematology products
  • Preferred: Experience with various real-world data types and sources and a publication track record
  • Preferred: Experience interacting with country teams and knowledge of global HTA requirements and organizations (eg, NICE, GBA, HAS, CDA, PBAC, ICER)
