About the role
- Lead strategic market access projects involving pricing, contracting, reimbursement, and channel initiatives
- Deliver advanced pricing and contracting recommendations informed by life-cycle forecasting models, payer deal modeling, ASP/net cost recovery, and gross-to-net analysis
- Design new market access solutions to enhance and expand Advisory services
- Mentor Advisory team members on payer strategy, reimbursement, channel and dispensing strategies
- Act as primary market access subject matter expert for advisory support and business development opportunities
- Serve as senior strategic advisor to clients, mentor consultants, and shape the market access practice
- Own strategic initiatives, model firm values, champion internal tools/templates, and scale firm IP
- Lead recruiting, onboarding, and implement quarterly SMART goals tied to practice objectives
- Oversee team onboarding, coaching, performance management, development plans, and succession planning
- Lead business development pursuits, develop proposals/SOWs/pricing, expand senior client relationships, and forecast revenue/margin
- Oversee project work plans, budgets, timelines, client communications, scope management, and quality standards
- Innovate analytic approaches and translate complex data into executive-ready narratives and deliverables
- Shape and publish thought leadership (articles, webinars, presentations) and represent the firm externally
Requirements
- 10–14 years of pharmaceutical/biotech consulting experience
- At least 5+ years focused on market access, pricing, and reimbursement strategy
- Proven track record leading complex, multi-stakeholder engagements and advising C-suite and VP-level clients
- Deep understanding of payer dynamics, benefit design, channel strategy, and gross-to-net economics
- Familiarity with government pricing (Medicaid, 340B, VA/DoD) and copay program strategies (strong plus)
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills
- Experience managing and mentoring teams
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA, MPH, MHA, or similar)
- Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint; comfort with data-driven analysis and storytelling
- Meet or exceed the agreed-upon billable utilization target of 65%
