About the role

  • Oversee all activities within the UK to expand the UK market
  • Connect with corporates, government entities and professional organizations to grow awareness and market size of PeopleCert products
  • Work closely with PC partner organisations in the UK to help them sell more ITIL products
  • Forge and nurture high-impact relationships with senior decision-makers to promote ITIL products
  • Mentor and guide a commercial and events team to achieve defined goals and objectives
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of leads and key accounts
  • Maintain and achieve maximum B2B market penetration of ITIL products via target-driven sales strategy
  • Coordinate activities with the company's operations base, respecting local market conditions and culture
  • Plan and organise personal sales strategy to maximise Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment
  • Monitor progress against daily/weekly/monthly targets and report to Headquarters
  • Facilitate and expedite resolution of customer problems and complaints working with support teams
  • Participate in trade shows, language education events and strategic forums across the region
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with global product and marketing teams to drive local adaptation and growth

Requirements

  • Post-graduate degree in IT required (preferably an MBA)
  • Over 8-10 years' experience in driving new business development at corporate level
  • Awareness of ITIL desirable (not mandatory)
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial bent of mind able to work across different cultures
  • Sound understanding of channel development, strategy selling principles, partnership strategy and consultative selling
  • Superb relationship, communication, and negotiation skills with executives and external constituents
  • Exposure in the Education market, Consulting or Examination/Certification sectors preferred
  • Preference for candidates from IT Consulting and/or Technology backgrounds
  • Advanced written and spoken English (C2 level certification desired)
  • Advanced computer literacy (ECDL Advance level desirable)
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or similar considered an asset
  • If working on the SELT service: background checks (DBS basic/enhanced), Right to Work in the UK, HO security check (BPSS or CTC), financial background check, employment reference check
