About the role
- Promote PIN’s activities in Mongolia and internationally
- Ensure compliance with visibility guidelines for PIN and donors
- Develop and update the Country Programme communication strategy and project communication plans with HQ CAD support
- Coordinate with HQ CAD for updates, proofreading, editing, translations, and participation in the PIN Branding Technical Working Group
- Provide support for global campaigns and initiatives from HQ CAD
- Write and gather stories, press releases, and promotional materials in English and Mongolian
- Collaborate with the Graphic Designer on visual content creation
- Manage and update informational materials and social media platforms
- Develop and maintain relationships with local media
- Organize media tours, press visits, and ensure media coverage for events
- Support and organize key promotional and communication events, ensuring media presence
- Provide training and advice to PIN staff on effective communication and visibility practices
- Manage content for online platforms, including social media and websites
- Report to the Country Director and fulfill other tasks as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, International Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
- At least one year of experience in communications, public relations, or a related field
- Experience with content creation, social media management, and media relations
- Experience in a non-profit or international development context is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mongolian
- Proficiency in social media platforms and content management systems
- Basic knowledge of digital marketing
- Ability to create compelling stories and content
- Familiarity with content creation tools (e.g., Canva) and analytics tools
- Proactive and willing to take initiative
- Culturally sensitive and adaptable to working in a diverse environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Basic understanding of graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is advantageous
- Willingness to travel within Mongolia for field assignments and media engagements
