Backend Engineer

• Write best in class code for our game and platform servers.
• Use data storage layers, such as PostgreSQL and Redis, to store and cache important data.

Events

• Coordinate and support the Events Manager with PENN Interactive’s events and experiences, by ensuring events are set up to theScore Bet and Hollywood Casino brand standards.
• Serve as a day-to-day contact for assigned partnership relationships, supporting communication, asset planning, and execution of contractual hospitality deliverables.
• Lead and execute VIP hospitality assets tied to partnerships, including suites, ticket banks, meet-and-greets, hosted experiences, and premium event access.
• Own the planning and execution of VIP-focused events and experiences, ensuring a high-touch, white-glove experience for players and partners.
• Organize and analyze internal records to assist the events team in making strategic decisions for all branded events.
• Develop and manage administrative processes to track event information and logistics.
• Maintain and manage event databases, budget templates, materials & supplies, reports, calendars, and the marketing department’s central library of event marketing collateral.
• Assist with event logistics including but not limited to: coordinating ticket distribution, event related travel & accommodations (for internal and external stakeholders) creating seating charts, selecting menu & beverage options & quantity.
• Manage VIP guest lists, host communications, and on-site hospitality needs to ensure seamless execution.
• Source swag and help select best pricing and quality items for promotional event giveaways.
• Source and manage event opportunities and make recommendations as directed by taking meetings and reporting on opportunities to Event Manager.
• Collaborate with Compliance to ensure vendor compliance approval in alignment with state-level regulatory requirements.
• Calculate spend/ROI analysis of each event managed and provide recommendations to improve each event.

Senior Events Specialist

Engineering Manager

• Oversee and manage the Penn Game Studios engineering team including client engineer, server engineering and system administration.
• Work with the Penn Interactive recruitment team to interview, hire and on-board new engineers at Penn Game Studios.
• Regularly meet with the Penn Game Studios leadership team to plan the studio strategy, build the development roadmap, and ensure the studio has the proper resources to meet its goals.
• Contribute to the architecture and design of major systems.
• Research and apply new technologies to solve problems.
• Apply standards across the engineering team, including testing, documentation and deployment.
• Manage high level tasks and personnel making sure engineers are set up for success.
• Read, write and review Go, Python, Javascript and shell scripts.

• Collaborate closely with the Product Manager on the team to build the roadmap, flesh out requirements, and ensure the team executes.
• Ensure development deliverables are documented and key decisions are recorded in accordance with the design and development process.
• Help with hiring initiatives across the engineering department.
• Assist in identifying process problems and contribute to the continual enhancement of the design, development processes and system architecture.

• Communicating with customer‑facing teams to support patron satisfaction and escalating issues for fast resolution

• Contributing to the developments of scalable customer risk frameworks that allow for efficient, consistent and commercially driven decision-making across the customer base.
• Reporting on the commercial impact of customer risk decisions, including GGR uplift from restrictions and trends in sharp customer volumes, to support wider trading strategy
