About the role
- Define product strategy and execute a prioritized roadmap to enable more merchants to accept Venmo quickly and easily
- Enhance merchant integration capabilities and experience to enable best-in-class checkout experiences for consumers
- Implement the architectural roadmap that balances innovative design and technical implementation while meeting regulatory requirements, time-to-market, customer needs and product profitability
- Control for the customer experience and customer needs in product requirements and decision making
- Monitor metrics that inform product success including usability studies, research and market analysis
- Manage one or more workstreams including analytics, customer discovery, market research and competitive analysis to drive data-driven decision-making
- Monitor product profitability measures, including budget
- Participate in Product Reviews, Operating Reviews, and Business Reviews
- Interface with product leadership as needed and partner with content developers, data scientists, product designers and user experience researchers
- Empathize with both merchant commerce partners and Venmo consumers and translate their needs into a comprehensive product roadmap
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of related experience with software or technology product management (preferred), preferably in e-commerce, payments or financial services
- Experience building a product roadmap and working with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver measurable impact
- Analyze, quantify, and articulate trade-offs of what you are building
- Familiarity with Fintech products and concepts
- Strong verbal communication and presentation skills to senior leaders and stakeholders
- Deep attention to detail; desire to collaborate on new processes for efficiency
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and still hit core responsibilities and key deadlines
- Know how to collaborate and tactically work with senior leaders and quickly build consensus
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative user testing
- Strategic thinking, technical and data acumen, ability to navigate ambiguity and drive alignment across multiple teams and stakeholders
