About the role
- Lead complex customer research projects and perform highly complex research and insights
- Develop clear objectives and priorities to deliver results and meet organizational goals
- Influence decision-making at the senior leadership level
- Develop and deliver innovative strategies that benefit product users and customers
- Analyze research data to identify trends and insights that inform product development and user experience strategies
- Design, evaluate, and select process, product, and service improvements based on product needs and industry trends
- Determine methods for new assignments and drive global process improvements
- Mentor team members in best practices for user research and data analysis
- Collaborate across teams and with stakeholders to apply functional expertise and enhance research methodologies
Requirements
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience in market research
- Experience in high-performing market research or analytical teams (preferred)
- Bachelors or Masters degree in relevant field (marketing/ psychology/ sociology/ economics) (preferred)
- MBA/MS is a plus
- Executive-level communication, presentation, storytelling, influence, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills and proven ability to build strong working relationships with individuals at all levels of management, including senior leaders
- Able to balance methodological rigor with scrappiness and urgency
- Strong conceptual thinking and creative problem-solving skills
- Strong bias for action and ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Expert facilitator, with experience leading workshops
- Extensive experience leveraging research techniques and data for marketing and product decisions
- Adept project management skills to drive towards output creation in a cross functional setting
- Experience in financial services / payment industry is a plus
- Experience with common research methodologies (e.g. ethnography, focus groups, MaxDiff, conjoint, concept testing etc.)
