About the role
- Convert qualified leads into delighted Paddle customers, focusing on SaaS, AI and app companies
- Build pipeline from leads provided by Business Development Representatives and Marketing, plus self-sourced opportunities
- Create a portion of your own self-generated pipeline
- Own full sales cycle from prospecting, qualifying, demoing through to closing deals
- Master Paddle’s product, understand features and articulate value to CTOs, Heads of Product and CEOs
- Work with management and across departments (Marketing, Product, Success) to determine effective approaches for opportunities
- Identify flaws in Paddle's and competitors' products during the sales process to inform sales techniques and product roadmap
- Participate in regular Account Executive sales training and continuous professional development
- Mentor new Account Executives as they ramp and learn the process
Requirements
- Resourceful, ambitious, and autonomous sales specialist, preferably with a strong understanding of SaaS or Payments
- Extensive closing experience in a software or SaaS business, managing multi-threaded sales processes and enterprise deals
- Experience with consultative, value-based selling and a proven track record of exceeding your quota
- Experience selling highly technical products/services
- Able to liaise with prospective clients in person, over the phone and email
- Entrepreneurial attitude, thrives when solving complex challenges
- Ability to operate in an unstructured, self-starting environment
- Experience selling to technical persons (CTO, Head of Product, (Technical) Founders) (preferred)
- Familiarity with eCommerce providers such as Stripe, Braintree, PayPal and subscription services such as Chargebee, Zuora, Recurly (preferred)
- Prior experience at a growth stage Internet/software company (preferred)
