About the role
- As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be the hands-on technical backbone supporting Optimum’s enterprise validator partners and node operators.
- Diagnose, reproduce, and resolve complex technical issues across validator and network infrastructure
- Provide timely, hands-on debugging and log analysis to identify and escalate software bugs or performance issues
- Collaborate with engineering to deliver quick resolutions and deploy hotfixes or configuration updates as needed
- Guide validator and infrastructure partners through setup, integration, and configuration of Optimum’s products (e.g., mump2p, Flexnodes)
- Develop and maintain deployment scripts, monitoring dashboards, and internal tools for performance verification
- Maintain real-time monitoring systems to ensure uptime, latency, and throughput goals are met
- Proactively detect network anomalies, performance degradations, and misconfigurations before they impact customers
- Contribute to internal and external documentation, including integration guides, runbooks, and troubleshooting playbooks
- Help automate and standardize support workflows to improve scalability and efficiency
- Work closely with Engineering, Product, and Customer Success to ensure high-quality support and seamless partner experience
- Provide feedback from field operations to influence roadmap priorities and product improvements
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience in technical support engineering, site reliability, or DevOps roles within blockchain, distributed systems, or high-performance networking environments
- Deep understanding of Ethereum staking, consensus mechanisms, and validator infrastructure
- Strong proficiency in Linux system administration, shell scripting, and networking (TCP/IP, DNS, peer-to-peer protocols)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack) and cloud infrastructure (GCP)
- Ability to debug and analyze performance bottlenecks at the network, protocol, and application levels
- Excellent communication skills to translate complex engineering concepts into clear solutions for partners.
