About the role
- Craft engaging product descriptions, advertising copy, and recipe content tailored to consumers across the company’s food product portfolio
- Collaborate closely with Designers, Content Producers, and Marketing Managers as part of the in-house Design Team
- Maintain and refine distinct brand voice and ensure consistency across platforms and touchpoints
- Work cross-functionally with product development, graphic design, and digital marketing to produce cohesive marketing campaigns
- Edit and proofread content for clarity, accuracy, and adherence to brand guidelines
- Apply SEO best practices to enhance digital content visibility and consumer engagement
- Track content performance metrics and use insights to refine messaging strategies
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior to inform content
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field
- 5–7 years of copywriting experience, preferably within consumer packaged goods (CPG) or the food industry
- Strong portfolio demonstrating product copy, advertising, and recipe content
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with digital marketing, social media platforms, and SEO principles
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Must be available to work on a W2 basis (NO C2C, NO 1099)
- Located in or near Hunt Valley, MD (Hybrid role)
