About the role
- Lead the ideation, development, and execution of beauty product innovation aligned with market trends, consumer insights, and brand strategy
- Identify, research, and evaluate emerging trends, technologies, and consumer needs within the beauty and personal care categories
- Translate insights into product concepts and pipeline opportunities
- Partner with Marketing, R&D, and Brand teams to define innovation strategies and product roadmaps
- Lead the end-to-end product development cycle, from concept ideation to development
- Ensure product performance and sensorial experience meet brand standards and regulatory requirements
- Manage cost, timelines, and feasibility with portfolio management team to deliver commercially viable products
- Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Regulatory Affairs to ensure alignment across product initiatives
- Serve as subject matter expert on beauty product innovation, sharing insights with leadership and broader teams
- Drive multiple product launches simultaneously, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
- Contribute to a strong stage-gate process, ensuring milestones are achieved and risks are managed
- Monitor performance of new product launches and recommend optimizations based on market feedback
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Marketing, Business, or related field; advanced degree a plus
- 5+ years of experience in product development, innovation, or R&D within the beauty, cosmetics, or personal care industry
- Strong knowledge of formulations, packaging development, and regulatory compliance in beauty products
- Proven track record of delivering successful product launches
- Excellent project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
- Passion for beauty, innovation, and consumer-centric design
