Draft and submit rate, rule, and form filings through SERFF and other state-specific filing systems.
Monitor and address objections from state insurance departments, coordinating responses and revisions.
Review state statutes, regulations, bulletins and checklists to ensure filings meet state requirements and align with regulatory standards.
Regularly review and analyze ISO circulars and bulletins to assess impact on products and filing actions.
Maintain detailed records of filings, approvals, and correspondence; update product libraries and manuals.
Collaborate with Sr. State Filings Manager, underwriting, product, and actuarial teams to support new product development, state expansions, rate revisions, and program enhancements.
Draft and format simple policy forms and rules, assigning form and rule numbers and edition dates.
Research and analyze competitor filings and identify process improvement opportunities.
Prepare forms for policy system implementation in Adobe Pro, adding and formatting dynamic fields.
Conduct QA testing of policy forms to ensure accuracy, readability, and compliance with state-approved filings.
Create and manage form implementation and testing tickets, monitoring status and queues.
Contribute to maintenance and improvement of QA processes and frameworks.
Work with engineering teams to prepare forms for policy system implementation and ensure alignment with state-approved filings.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 2 years in state regulatory filings or a related role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
Proficiency in Adobe Pro.
Familiarity with SERFF and other filing systems is a plus.
Strong understanding of state insurance regulations and filing requirements.
Familiarity with Commercial Auto, General Liability and Inland Marine lines of business is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple filing projects and deadlines.
Experience with testing and QA processes for insurance policy forms is highly desirable.
Nice to have: Professional designations such as AINS, insurance paralegal experience, experience in property & casualty lines product development.
