Account Executive

• Build relationships with key decision makers at the district level and sell Newsela’s suite of products to school districts
• Employ solution-based selling techniques and solution mapping; negotiate and close deals to ensure school board preparation and approval
• Create and maintain an aggressive pipeline; build and adjust strategic account plans for key accounts to move each account through the sales cycle
• Pipeline creation, pipeline management and forecasting; design lead generation campaigns and manage sales through the entire lifecycle while collaborating closely with other departments
• Be well-versed in territory funding, state initiatives, demographics, and K-12 education landscape to inform sales strategy
• Serve as the face of Newsela in the market and coordinate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams

Strategic Account Executive

Product Marketing

• Lead the go-to-market (GTM) strategy, positioning, messaging, and cross-functional execution for Newsela’s Core ELA product portfolio.
• Drive product adoption, support revenue growth, and represent the voice of the educator throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Sales, Content, and Marketing teams to craft compelling narratives around Newsela’s Core ELA offering.
• Inform product development with market insights and develop product messaging that reaches and resonates with educators, administrators, and decision-makers.
• Design and execute GTM plan for a new Core ELA product, ensuring alignment across Marketing, Product, and Sales.
• Create high-impact sales collateral, pitch decks, training materials, and objection-handling guides; deliver product training to Sales and Customer Success teams.
• Serve as the voice of the customer and competitive research; translate insights into actionable recommendations for product development and marketing campaigns.
• Partner with Product Managers to influence roadmap prioritization and support product launch in partnership with the marketing team.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to drive awareness and lead generation through content development, email marketing, webinars, and events.

Senior Product Marketing Manager

Solutions Engineer

• Lead technical discovery and solution mapping for strategic opportunities involving Formative by Newsela
• Architect and deliver tailored demonstrations and proofs that show how Formative solves for real-time feedback, instructional alignment, and assessment consistency
• Translate complex district needs into practical implementation recommendations and proof plans
• Surface field insights to the Product and Content teams to inform future roadmap development
• Develop and maintain reusable assets, including demo templates, solution briefs, and configuration best practices
• Mentor peers across the Solution Architect team on assessment strategy and best practices for Formative positioning
• Support RFP strategy and technical documentation for Formative-related custom content or security needs
• Partner with Account Executives and Product teams to deliver technical wins through assessment-aligned discovery, solution design, demo delivery, and proof validation
• Report to the Manager of Customer Solutions and focus exclusively on the Formative product within the Balanced Assessment Suite

Solutions Architect – Assessment & Analytics

Product Manager

• Join Newsela's User Management team focused on core identity and onboarding systems
• Optimize user sign-up and account setup flows to improve conversion and reduce friction
• Ensure data integrity by collaborating with data team to produce clean, reliable analytics data
• Partner with engineering to define requirements and prioritize backlog for identity, access, and management systems
• Own back-office tooling for Customer Support and Integrations teams, discovering pain points and building solutions
• Translate product strategy into detailed user stories and work hands-on with engineering to launch
• Report to a Principal Product Manager and receive mentorship and coaching

Write original, decodable texts (short stories, poems, non-fiction) that align with a provided phonics scope and sequence.
Ensure each text uses only the targeted phonics skills and previously taught sounds/spellings.
Work closely with our editorial team to revise and refine texts based on feedback.
