About the role
- Write original, decodable texts (short stories, poems, non-fiction) that align with a provided phonics scope and sequence. Ensure each text uses only the targeted phonics skills and previously taught sounds/spellings. Work closely with our editorial team to revise and refine texts based on feedback. Meet all project deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
Requirements
- Proven paid writing experience, ideally for an educational publisher, children's content, or similar industry. A strong understanding of foundational reading skills, including phonics and phonemic awareness. Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality, educationally sound content. Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently. Access to a computer and reliable internet connection.
