About the role
- Develops the strategy of the sales territory, including identifying strategic partnerships and planning the development of a territory
- Drives sales of Comcast Business strategic products and solutions in new markets
- Responsible for acquisition and management of mid-market and enterprise, multi-location commercial customers through direct and partner channels
- Actively researches and generates new leads with targeted businesses through various prospecting activities including cold calling, canvassing, customer referrals and partner relationships
- Creates and delivers face-to-face sales presentations to strategic prospective clients demonstrating knowledge of Comcast products and services
- Builds relationships and drives alignment and regular communication between key GTM partners
- Sells with goals of exceeding departmental financial and unit targets and stays abreast of competitive landscape and emerging technologies
- Retains customer base by delivering on the Comcast credo and ensuring a superior customer experience
- Works with internal teams to ensure operational efficiencies and service levels meet and exceed customer expectations
- Maintains accurate and quality sales records and prepares sales and activity reports as required
- Attends out-of-the-office meetings with customers on a regular basis and demonstrates excellent verbal and written skills
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred; Comcast may consider combination of coursework and experience)
- 5-7 Years Relevant Work Experience (enterprise/mid-market sales)
- In-depth experience, knowledge, and skills in selling complex solutions
- Demonstrated skills in Customer Relationships and Direct Selling
- Demonstrated presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills
- Demonstrates some knowledge of Network Design, SDWAN, and Network Security
- Familiar with MAN technologies & designs including WDM, Ethernet, Internet Technologies, Functionality & Services
- Knowledge of Voice Network Technologies (including VoIP)
- Knowledge of Data Networking Technologies, Functionality & Services (LAN, MAN, WAN, VPN)
- Understanding of Networking Protocols (with an emphasis on Layers 1, 2, & 3)
- Familiarity with Customer Premise Equipment (voice & data)
- Understanding of Cybersecurity, Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery concepts
- Ability to develop territory strategy and cultivate local partnerships
- Experience generating leads via cold calling, canvassing, referrals and partner relationships
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationships to drive retention
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Regular travel/attending out-of-office meetings with customers on a regular basis
- Must be able to work nights and weekends; variable schedule(s) as necessary
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
