About the role
- Navarro Research & Engineering is recruiting a Project Controls Engineer – Remote to support federal and commercial programs.
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules in Microsoft Project and ClickUp.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, and dependencies, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
- Prepare cost and schedule performance reports, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Support project managers with baseline development, change control, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate virtually with engineering, procurement, and finance teams to integrate cost and schedule data.
- Provide dashboards, metrics, and progress updates for internal leadership and external clients.
- Identify and escalate potential schedule and cost risks, recommending corrective actions.
- Support implementation of project management best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in project controls, scheduling, or project management support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project for schedule development and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with ClickUp for task management, workflow optimization, and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex project data.
- Experience with earned value management (EVM) principles preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with proven ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
- Experience supporting nuclear projects. (preferred)
- US citizenship required due to government contract/clearance requirements.
