Oversee NSC’s training products including Defensive Driving Course, First Aid, Workplace Training, and others.
Report to the EVP of Training and play leadership role in business, portfolio, and product strategy; set direction; form and manage partnerships; bring voice of the customer; build high-performing product management organization.
Build processes and go-to-market approaches; direct execution of functional strategy; develop strategies for and lead programs with significant impact; influence senior leaders; manage employees; program budget creation and management.
Support execution of product portfolio strategy; collaborate with SMEs to analyze training needs; translate complex content into engaging learning experiences.
Drive operational execution within product development, production and commercial functions; design and implement product development and commercialization plans.
Maintain market knowledge and competitive intelligence; establish Product Development Roadmap; set Operational Goals and Metrics; oversee content development and publishing process using authoring tools and LMS; prepare and ensure adherence to company operating budget.
Outreach: present at/attend industry meetings; participate/lead interactions with business partners; identify and interact with external SMEs; bring Voice of Customer; participate in trade shows.
Relationship Management: directly manage team members; influence cross-functional team members; support environment appreciating diversity; relay info; build consensus; communicate with other NSC initiatives for dissemination and cross-collaboration.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree) and at least 10 years of relevant product management experience leading training product portfolio management
Experience in the instructional design and development of multi-modal training for consumer and business consumption, including instructor-led training (in person and virtual) and self-paced online learning
Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to produce significant, measurable results.
Five or more years of managing people and teams, preferably in a matrix environment.
Proven ability to manage and execute multiple complex projects and teams to achieve desired behavior change and injury reduction.
Strong foundation in instructional design methodologies and comfortable deploying learning technologies to enhance learner engagement and retention.
Direct experience working in the safety industry or as part of a safety organization within a company preferred
