About the role

  • Sales Specialists are responsible for being knowledgeable in the company’s processes, proficiently assisting assigned sales representatives throughout the sales cycle.
  • The Sales Specialist provides support to the sales team by managing the company’s customer database, creating quotes, processing orders and performing other tasks in support of the Subscription Support team's sales goals with a focus on quote requests.
  • The Sales Specialist will use professional sales and customer service techniques in completing work requirements and is responsible for maintaining regular communication with sales team’s management and counterparts while completing sales tasks.
  • This role may also support other sales departments and marketing coverage needs.
  • Responsibilities and Essential Duties: Research the market and generate leads through call blitzes and promotional campaigns that coincide with company initiatives as needed.
  • Support sales team’s efforts to win business through competitive sales techniques and knowledge of the company's products and services.
  • Understand and support established sales policies and procedures to provide proper and effective treatment to customers.
  • Provide administrative support to team by generating reports, logging support tickets and processing deals for assigned reps and on other projects as needed.
  • Create sales quotes as required by sales, Management, and solicitation responses.
  • Utilize internal customer relation management (CRM) system to create and copy sales opportunities, update existing opportunities, document transaction history, and process sales orders.
  • Provide information and/or follow up with customers.
  • Attend customer calls as well as forecasts calls with the manufacturer as required.
  • Other job tasks in support of the sales team, as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years’ experience providing administrative support in sales environment or previous customer services experience.
  • Knowledge / Skills / Abilities (KSAs): MS Office, proficient in Excel
