Generate capital equipment sales to both prospective and existing produce industry customers throughout California and the West Coast
Responsible for the complete sales process including prospecting, reporting, quoting, and closing business in accordance with sales goals
Identify potential sales opportunities with existing customers and new prospects by conducting customer site visits and following up on leads
Achieve territory bookings and invoiced sales goals
Create and manage an efficient travel schedule to maximize customer contacts and minimize overnight travel
Provide all necessary information and documentation for completion of sales proposals and orders
Prepare detailed proposals/quotes according to customer requirements
Manage customer expectations related to the order process including coordination with internal departments
Leverage resources such as CRM, marketing tools, demonstration facilities, and support staff
Participate in the development and execution of a business plan and budget for the territory
Requirements
Consultative capital equipment sales experience required
Ideal candidates will have at least five years' experience selling large packaging or processing equipment to PRODUCE related facilities (field grown or controlled environment- CEA)
Bachelor's degree preferred
Engineering or technical experience is also a plus
Must be able to travel approximately 60%
Candidates must live within 90 minutes of a major airport, ideally in Irvine, CA or the Central Valley
