About the role

  • Direct major cross functional campaigns and pursuits for defense engine programs
  • Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities driving growth
  • Represent military engine and systems product lines to position products and services in the military market
  • Build influential relationships with customers at all levels and establish detailed customer contact plans
  • Develop and execute opportunity pursuit / capture plans
  • Manage development of numerous, complex, multi-million-dollar proposal efforts
  • Lead or support negotiations as needed to close deals
  • Manage CRM systems tracking pursuits and opportunities
  • Provide commercial and technical expertise within the defense engine market segment
  • Support division input for operating planning and forecasting
  • Assist in the development and execution of an overall growth strategy for military engine and systems products/services
  • Some international and Foreign Military Sales exposure
  • Serve as a product sales expert as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace / defense industry business development, sales, marketing, commercial operations or program / account management
  • Ability to travel 25%-50% as needed
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field
  • Preferred: Prior experience with aircraft engines or aircraft mission/vehicle subsystems
  • Preferred: Prior sales experience in leading aerospace/defense OEM pursuits
  • Preferred: Prior experience managing proposals
  • Preferred: Prior experience working with aircraft services
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information; employment contingent on being a U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, asylee/refugee, or ability to obtain authorization to access export-controlled information
