💰 $130,000 - $150,000 per year
About the role
- Responsible for timely research, documentation and conclusion of GAAP accounting and SEC disclosure matters related to the ongoing business operations
- Review of various customer, vendor or other contracts to determine appropriate GAAP accounting
- Perform complex financial analysis and due diligence related to deal terms including financing, investment, or other strategic initiatives
- Assist in the monthly close process through preparation and/or review of financial statements, SEC filings, reconciliations, and journal vouchers
- Participate at various levels in SOX related initiatives including project management, documentation and acting as liaison between IT and the company’s external auditors
- Perform financial variance analysis for trial balance accounts as needed
- Participate in system implementations and upgrades as needed
- Provide ad-hoc financial leadership and support for various company projects
- Report to Senior Manager, Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting and interact cross-functionally with FP&A, IT, Sales Operations, Product, HR, Legal and Tax
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA with a minimum of four years of accounting experience, preferably at a major public accounting firm
- Strong technical accounting background with a current knowledge of US GAAP, SOX 404 and SEC reporting standards
- Experience with technical research
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Solid attention to detail and excellent project management skills
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Proven ability to work independently and meet strict reporting deadlines
