About the role
- Sell architectural products such as windows, doors, and movable walls to architects, general contractors, designers, and developers.
- Strategically generate sales leads and increase product sales across assigned territory.
- Lead architectural design discussions, guide product selection, and ensure project specifications align with company offerings.
- Frequently travel to meet clients, attend trade shows (AIA, CSI), and deliver product presentations/seminars.
- Serve as technical consultant and follow up with clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a database of customers and prospects to identify new business opportunities.
- Potentially train new employees and teach continuing education classes on company products.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience preferred.
- A minimum of two years in a sales or sales support role.
- Architectural or construction industries experience highly recommended.
- Sales experience highly recommended.
- Valid Class C Drivers License.
- Ability to travel frequently (more than 50% travel; overnight travel; some international travel).
- Experience building long-term relationships with architects, general contractors, designers, and developers.
- Familiarity with product specification and guiding product selection.
- Experience maintaining customer/prospect database (CRM).
