Meeting with wealth advisors/financial planners/other wealth management and members of the Wealth Solutions group to review, fund, and maintain estate plans
Familiarity with advanced planning strategies
Supporting book of ultra-high-net-worth clients
Reviewing and summarizing existing estate planning documents, including making appropriate recommendations regarding changes and additions based upon changes in law and family circumstances
Answering general informational estate planning questions from clients and advisor teams
Serving as an in-house resource in estate planning to wealth management teams nationwide
Remaining current with related estate, trust, and tax legislation nationwide
Supporting business development through leading presentations, thought leadership publications, and prospective client meetings, as necessary
Mentoring and coaching Estate Planning Strategists
Managing an estate planning service specialist, as assigned, as related to overseeing day-to-day tasks, training, calendars, time management, coaching, and mentoring
Meeting with clients to design, implement, fund, and maintain estate plans (as attorney under Advanced Services Law Group, Inc.)
Drafting estate plan documents, including trusts, wills, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and funding related documents, as well as advanced planning tools including IDGTs, QRPTs, ILITs, SLATs, and LLCs
Preparing and reviewing deeds and real property transfer documents.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD)
Licensed to practice law in at least one state
Ability to interpret and convey complex estate planning topics to Wealth Management teams and clients
4+ years legal experience in estate planning preferred
Ability to travel up to 25%
Availability during standard business hours of Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM
At times, the role may have early or late hours to meet business tasks and deadlines for external and internal client needs.
