About the role

  • Promotes and sells Medtronic's products and services within an assigned geographic area and/or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Develops, builds, and strengthens long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors and healthcare professionals
  • Pursues leads, assesses needs and provides product services to maximize benefits derived from Medtronic's products and/or services
  • Promotes and establishes education of the company's products and/or services
  • Conducts market research including customers and competitors activities
  • Implements market development plans/strategies and changes as needed
  • Communicates customer feedback on new products and/or modifications to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing
  • Drives adoption and penetration in accounts and may provide guidance, coaching and training to other sales professionals

Requirements

  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A))
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Requires advanced knowledge of job area and complete knowledge of company products and services
  • Proven sales experience promoting medical devices/products and meeting sales targets
  • Ability to develop, build, and strengthen long-term relationships with distributors and healthcare professionals
  • Experience conducting market research and implementing market development plans/strategies
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • For sales reps and other patient-facing field employees: ability to go into healthcare settings and comply with hospital/clinic credentialing requirements
