Report to the ISM Ops Network leader as a key member of Medtronic’s center-led Indirect Supply Management (ISM) team
Identify, lead, and execute projects that deliver economic value to the global Operations Networks
Conduct complex analysis of sourcing information for process improvement while maintaining high-quality product and service delivery
Partner closely with the center-led category managers to understand and implement key pan-Medtronic strategies
Represent and share network and site-specific requirements and strategies with the center-led category management organization
Partner closely with legal, finance, quality/compliance and other functions that support supply management
Ensure manufacturing sites are adequately supported, including stakeholder engagement, dashboards, site-level diagnostics, workshops to identify savings opportunities, managing supplier quality, and ensuring supply continuity
Facilitate the supplier capacity assurance process, provide capacity guidance to suppliers, analyze and propose solutions for capacity constraints, and facilitate allocation discussions if required
Build strong supplier relationships and serve as primary contact for issue resolution with suppliers
Develop robust data gathering and data quality maintenance protocols to ensure spend transparency and support sourcing cost reduction baselines
Initiate and implement appropriate category strategy change
Create and establish internal and external benchmark analysis, including gap analysis and required actions
Lead supplier negotiation efforts and manage strategic supplier contracts
Requirements
Bachelor's degree
Minimum 4 years of strategic sourcing experience in Strategic Sourcing including Supply Chain projects in a multi-divisional corporation
Experience in indirect sourcing and executing the category strategies
Strong stakeholders’ management skills to be a recognized Trusted Advisor
Strong analytical skills
Strong negotiation skills
Strong supplier management skills
Project management skills
Track record in achieving cost savings and contract management
Knowledge of the Procure-to-Pay process
Additional language skills (verbal & written) are a plus
Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI (nice to have)
