About the role
- Identify, lead, and execute projects that deliver economic value to the global Operations Networks
- Engage and influence stakeholders across a highly matrixed organization
- Partner with center-led category managers to implement pan-Medtronic strategies
- Represent and share network and site-specific requirements with center-led category management
- Partner with legal, finance, quality/compliance to support supply management
- Ensure manufacturing sites are adequately supported through engagement, dashboards, site-level diagnostics, and workshops
- Educate on key indirect supply management initiatives and policies
- Develop robust data gathering and data quality maintenance protocols for spend transparency
- Initiate and implement appropriate category strategy changes
- Create benchmark and gap analyses and required actions to achieve functional advantage
- Lead supplier negotiation efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant strategic sourcing experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant strategic sourcing experience
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, information systems, business discipline (nice to have)
- 5+ years of work experience in strategic sourcing, category management, supply chain, operations, or any functional area with demonstrated analytical and project-based acumen (nice to have)
- Category Management experience in MRO or Operations categories (nice to have)
- Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI
- Ability to manage and influence stakeholders
