About the role
- Oversee daily operations of the clinic and lead with empathy, clarity, and connection
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and respectful work environment and mentor team members
- Maintain strong communication across medical and operational teams and partner with the Medical Director
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, inventory, vendor relations, and compliance
- Streamline daily operations to ensure efficiency and support long-term strategic planning and service development
- Collaborate with business support teams on budgets, payroll, and metrics and monitor KPIs
- Drive business growth through data-driven decisions and continuous improvement
- Uphold a welcoming, professional experience for clients and handle escalated concerns with empathy
- Represent the clinic in the local community and support case reviews and workflow improvements
Requirements
- 3–5 years of leadership in a veterinary or healthcare setting (multi-site or ER a plus!)
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Proficiency with veterinary software (Cornerstone, EzyVet, or similar)
- A hands-on mindset with the ability to adapt, pivot, and lead by example
- A passion for building people-first teams that deliver compassionate care
- CVPM or equivalent experience considered for negotiation
