About the role
- Develop and implement pricing and contract strategies for Integrated Distribution Networks (IDN), Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) and Aggregations
- Advise commercial stakeholders on pricing and contracting strategies to drive revenue growth and contractual sustainability
- Partner with pricing and marketing to recommend pricing and contracting approaches for new product introductions
- Support contracting needs of assigned Enterprise targets, execute pricing strategies and comply with price governance process
- Complete hospital requests in a timely manner according to Medtronic pricing strategies, terms, and conditions
- Provide robust and accurate pricing analysis and rationale behind pricing approvals
- Negotiate pricing under parameters set by management alongside Sales, Legal and Marketing
- Support proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities
- Act as a liaison between Enterprise Accounts & Services and Operating Units
- Support the Commercial Transformation big deal process and participate in cross-functional teams for key initiatives
- Provide comprehensive business reviews, enable programs and contracts to drive revenue, monitor pricing integrity, and protect margin
- Support quarterly business review efforts with regional offices and local sales teams as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of relevant experience in Contracts or Pricing (OR Associate's Degree with 6+ years experience OR Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years experience)
- 8+ years (high school route) or 6+ years (associate) or 4+ years (bachelor) of relevant Contracts or Pricing experience
- Experience in pricing strategy, pricing analysis, and price governance
- Experience with contract negotiation, contract administration, and proposal preparation
- Ability to provide rationale for pricing approvals and negotiate within management parameters
- Experience partnering with Sales, Legal, and Marketing stakeholders
- Experience participating in cross-functional teams and supporting quarterly business reviews
- Ability to work a minimum of 4 days per week onsite
- Must comply with credentialing requirements at hospitals or clinics for patient-facing roles when applicable
- Authorization to work in the United States (employer participates in E-Verify)
