- Establish feedback loops and ensure teams are responsive and continuously improving
- Proactively identify and remove impediments and manage risks, proposing mitigation strategies
- Fulfill reporting and contractual requirements (e.g., monthly delivery reporting, GitHub project reporting each sprint)
- Support the practice of delivery management within the larger company and participate in community of practice
- Responsibilities may shift and grow organically over time
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a Delivery Manager, Project Manager, or Scrum Master on an agile scrum team
- Demonstrated ability to successfully lead delivery teams at Agile Six or at like minded organizations within the civic tech space
- In-depth knowledge and demonstrated application of Agile principles and practices
- Ability to coach teams in Agile practices and support team self-organization
- Demonstrated experience supporting newly formed teams on complex projects
- Demonstrated ability to independently remove impediments to team progress and maintain alignment and productivity across different team structures
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage complex stakeholder relationships and ensure smooth collaboration and alignment across multiple teams or organizations
- Demonstrated ability to recognize and resolve complex dysfunction within teams without extensive external support
- Has lived and worked in the United States for 3 of the last 5 years
- Authorized to work in the U.S.; employer participates in E-Verify and cannot sponsor visas
- Occasional travel to Washington, DC required 3-4 times per year (2-4 days per trip)
- Certified Scrum Master Certification (desired)
- Experience working with government agencies (desired)
- U.S. Veteran status encouraged (desired)
